References 116610LN and 116610LV are date-equipped Submariners introduced in 2010. The predecessor, Ref.16610, had an aluminum bezel, but it was changed to a Cerachrom bezel originally developed by Rolex, with a 60-minute memory engraved with a special platinum coating. The luminous paint has been changed from Super-LumiNova to ChromaLite, which has about twice the amount of light emitted from green to blue. In addition to the indexes and hands, the crown guard has also been enlarged, and the clasp features a Glidelock extension system that allows fine adjustment of the bracelet length without the use of tools.

Ref.116610LN has a black dial and a black bezel made of Cerachrom, and the reference number "LN" stands for "Lunette Noir" and means black bezel.

Ref.116610LV is the successor model to Ref.16610 released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Submariner. The Submariner's only green dial uses Rolex's brand color green for both the dial and bezel. It is also nicknamed "Hulk" because the iconic green is reminiscent of Marvel's Incredible Hulk. The reference number "LV" stands for "Lunette Vert" in French, meaning green bezel.
