GMT Master II

The first GMT Master I had the hour and minute hands and the 24-hour hand (GMT hand) linked, and could not be moved independently. Therefore, by operating the rotating bezel, the local time was displayed on the 24-hour hand. From the GMT Master II announced in 1983, the evolution of the movement has changed it so that only the hour hand can be moved independently, making it easier to set the local time. It is also possible to check the time in three time zones in combination with the rotating bezel. The rotating bezel can be moved smoothly while displaying three time zones, making it a watch with even higher functionality than the GMT Master I.

The GMT-Master II is equipped with a new generation movement developed by Rolex, which is more accurate and reliable, as well as more shock-resistant and functional.
The clasp is equipped with an Oysterlock clasp with a safety catch that prevents accidental opening even in harsh environments and ensures a secure fit. The bracelet is equipped with an Easylink (extension link) system, so the length can be adjusted by about 5 mm.
In addition to its stylish design, the GMT-Master II is also popular for its functionality and comfort.

One of the attractions of the GMT-Master II is the abundant color variations of the rotating bezel with a 24-hour display. After the bezel is made of ceramic, it will be only black for a while, but in 2013, a black-blue two-tone color, commonly known as "Batman" bezel, appeared.
In 2018, the same red-blue color as the first generation, the steel model of the so-called "Pepsi" bezel was announced and became a hot topic.
