According to the manufacturer's records, this unit was manufactured in 1977.
Its style, which is strongly influenced by the era, is reminiscent of Cartier's masterpiece, the Tank Louis Cartier, but the engraving and gem setting on the case sides, the smooth black onyx dial, and the gold dolphin-shaped hour and minute hands give it a unique Patek chronograph character.
Since the reference number starts with 4, it is possible that this was originally released as a Ladies watch, but its sharp and modern style makes it a watch that would also be recommended for adult men.
The case has the overall worn look that is typical of old gold models, but I don't think it detracts from the look.
The genuine alligator strap, which appears to have been barely used, is fitted with a genuine old-style gold pin buckle.
