This 1815 Up/Down is a variation of the 1815 that adds a power reserve display.
Improvements to the barrel and balance spring have been made to achieve a long power reserve of 72 hours.
The movement, caliber L051.2, is packed with traditional design elements such as a German silver 3/4 plate, gold chatons, and blue chaton setting screws, but its compact structure is said to be a repurposing of a patent obtained by Otto Lange, the founder's grandson, in 1940.
