Basic care
After wearing, wipe off sweat, dirt, dust, etc. with a watch cloth, chamois (deer) leather, or a soft cloth. If your watch has been immersed in seawater, tighten the crown firmly and then rinse it off with fresh water. After washing, wipe dry with a soft cloth.
Repair/inspection/maintenance
Repair/inspection
If something goes wrong, such as a malfunction or a part coming off, contact the manufacturer, purchase shop or watch repair shop for inspection or correction. We also recommend regular maintenance even if there are no particular problems.
maintenance
For general mechanical watches, we recommend overhauling once every 3 to 5 years, and for quartz watches, when replacing the battery, including a waterproof inspection.
How to store branded watches
A well-ventilated and breathable environment
Wrap your watch in a breathable watch case or cloth to prevent moisture and mold from forming. Avoid plastic materials, as they have poor breathability and can trap moisture.
avoid direct sunlight
Exposure to direct sunlight will cause the color of the bag to fade easily. Light-colored materials are particularly sensitive to sunlight and are prone to discoloration over time. Excessive drying may cause cracks.
avoid magnetism
The watch is very sensitive to magnetism. Keep it away from devices that emit magnetic fields such as smartphones, computers, and speakers.
move regularly
Some mechanical watches have gears coated with lubricant, and if the lubricant hardens, it will affect the watch's operation. To prevent the lubricant from hardening, it is important to move the watch regularly to distribute the lubricant.
waterproof watch
Even if your watch is waterproof, it is important to periodically check its waterproof performance. It is especially important to wash away salt and chlorine immediately after using it in a pool or sea.
