About Radiomir
Along with Luminor, "Radiomir" is one of Panerai's core collections. Made at the request of the Italian Navy, the dial uses a unique luminous paint to allow you to see the exact time even when underwater. The origin of the name is the fluorescent substance of the same name, which is made from radium, which was originally developed by Panerai. However, since radium is a radioactive substance, this luminous paint is not currently used.
Unlike Luminor, which is equipped with a crown protector, a simple conical crown is also a feature of Radiomir. With a simple and classical design, it is loved by a wide range of people.
Panerai's traditional collection
Radiomir was born in 1938. Developed as a military diver's watch at the request of the Italian Navy. A collection that pursues underwater comfort with a highly visible dial made of luminous paint and a durable case. The high practicality can be seen from the track record adopted by the Italian Navy for many years.
Since 2004, it has joined the regular collection and has established itself as a core collection indispensable to Panerai. A traditional collection that inherits the design of the original 1938 model, including cushioned cases and wire lugs.

Classical design
Compared to Panerai's core collection, Luminor, Radiomir is a collection of classical designs. Designs such as the cushion-shaped case and the conical crown called the "onion shape" have not changed since they were active as military watches. Although some models use rubber belts, leather belts are the mainstream lineup.
Also, unlike Luminor, it does not have a crown protector. It is a diver's watch with a classical appearance that is simple yet powerful and elegant.

Thin models are also available
The rich lineup is also one of the attractions of the Radiomir collection. Panerai watches have large cases and are often thick, but Radiomir has been developing thin models for a long time. Also, the material of the case is various. In addition to the stainless steel model, we also have a lineup of models that use Panerai's original composite case based on gold, ceramic, and aluminum. Although it is a design that can be seen at a glance as Panerai, it is also an attractive collection that you can choose your favorite one from various models.
