Submersible

Initially announced, Submersible was positioned as a derivative model of Panerai's popular Luminor series. The model at that time was written as "Luminol Submersible" on the dial.
Submersible became an independent collection in 2019. With the new CEO, Panerai will reorganize the collection, which has been complicated by the birth of many derivations, and will set the submersible as an independent collection. Along with this, the notation of "Luminol" has disappeared from the dial.
In addition, the current model is available in three line sizes of 42 mm, 44 mm, and 47 mm.

Originally, Panerai was developing military watches for the Italian Navy. The submersible, which was developed with the concept of diving, uses the technological capabilities cultivated by the brand everywhere, and boasts outstanding performance among Panerai's selling robustness.
The submersible, reprinted in 1998, uses a 1000m waterproof function and a highly operable reverse rotation prevention bezel. Some models also have a highly visible dot index. The dial is a full-fledged diver's watch that can withstand professional use, with thick and solid fluorescent hands and small seconds.

The submersible is also characterized by its improved functionality compared to the original model, such as the adoption of Automatic winding for the movement. The lineup includes models that use tough and lightweight carbon, and models that use bulk metallic glass and a new material called "BMG-TECH" for the case to achieve high corrosion resistance, impact resistance, and magnetism resistance.
While inheriting the original personality and tradition, the functionality and robustness of the wristwatch have been improved. The attitude of earnestly facing the improvement of technology and continuing to improve accuracy and functionality can be said to be the reason why the high popularity of submersibles is supported.
