Yacht Master II Ref.116688

Reference 116688 is a solid 18K yellow gold Yacht-Master II that has been produced since 2007. The case and bracelet are all made of 18K yellow gold, and the bezel is made of Cerachrom, a scratch- and shock-resistant material originally developed and patented by Rolex. The color of the dial is all white.

As a minor change in 2011, the coating was changed from Rhodium to blue, and in 2013 the movement was changed from Cal.4160 to Cal.4161 with an improved countdown function. The design of the dial and hour hand has changed significantly. The hour hand has changed from a steel baton type to an 18K white gold Benz hand, and the blue coating has returned to metallic Rhodium. The hour markers, which were all square, now have an inverted triangle at 12 o'clock and a rectangle at 6 o'clock. It has become a minor change that further enhances sportiness and unity.
