GMT Master II Ref.16710

Ref.16710 is the second generation GMT-Master II manufactured from 1988 to 2007 following Ref.16760. At the beginning of production, there was only a red-black and cork-colored bezel, but after the production of GMT Master I Ref. The bezel is not the ceramic bezel used in the current model, but an aluminum alloy with a metallic texture.

The Cal.3000 movement of the previous model Ref.16760, the first generation GMT Master II, has been changed to a Cal.3100 movement centered on Cal.3185. The Crystal has been changed to a sapphire crystal for improved durability.

Since it is a long-seller, there have been many minor changes, and around 2000, the flash fit that connects the lug and bracelet became an integrated unit, and in 2003, a watermark with a crown mark was added at the 6 o'clock position on the dial. At the same time, the horizontal hole in the case that connects the bracelet disappeared. The "bouncing letters" where the letters on the bezel are jumping and the "stick dial (without lid)" where the font of the model name GMT-MASTER II has no horizontal bars are considered to be rare individuals.
